As we prepare to celebrate the wonderful Feast of Christmas I wish to thank all parishioners for your kindness, support and generosity shown to me during the year.  A  particular word of thanks to all who are involved in any ministry or committee in the parish. Your generosity of time and talents ensure the smooth running of the parish in such a vibrant manner. This year saw the establishment of a new Pastoral Council.  I thank its members who have agreed to work in this important leadership role within the parish. I also thank the members of the former Council for the good work that they did over the years.

A new Parish Website has also been established. This will help to keep the wider community linked to the parish. I thank those who have generously put it in place. Through it I greet all our emigrants all over the world. I assure you that you are remembered and prayed for in your native parish this Christmas.

I also want to say a sincere word of thanks to our parish staff for the dedication and commitment that they give to their work. I congratulate all who celebrated their marriage during the year. Congratulations also to families who had the joy of celebrating Baptism.  I am conscious that at this time of year which brings joy to so many can be a time of great sadness and loneliness to those who have been bereaved during the year.  You are in my prayers and Masses at this time. I pray that Christmas will bring to you, to those who are sick and to those who face any difficulty a new sense of hope.

I wish everyone the  blessings of the Christmas Feast.

May the Prince of Peace, Love and Hope be with you all.

Happy Christmas

Denis Carney
