Month: November 2015
Advent marks the beginning of a new Church year. It is a time of waiting and expectancy which leads into Christmas. Advent calls us to a new beginning. It gives us an opportunity to reflect on the real meaning of Christmas. While things like the shopping, the gifts and Santa have to be thought about so too should the fact that we have Christmas because Christ was born in the stable in Bethlehem. God thought us important enough to send his Son to our world. Let us reflect on that fact. Let us try and use these Advent days to deepen our relationship with God. Let us make it a time of prayer for ourselves and our families. Let us prepare a way for the Lord into our hearts and homes.
Thanks to Helen, our sacristan for the lovely photos
